Zachary Scott Young

Zachary Scott Young, 35, of York, passed away unexpectedly at York Hospital on Wednesday May 25, 2022. Zachary was born in York on September 17, 1986, and was the son of Jack Young, Jr., and Kelly (Hassinger) Young. He worked construction and concrete most of his adult life. He graduated from York County School of Technology Class of 2005. He was an avid soccer, bridge, and chess player. His three kids were his world. He loved spending time with family and rough housing with his nieces and nephews including his nephew dog. In addition to his loving parents, Kelly and Mike Zeller and Jack and Tina Young; Zachary is survived by his three children, Cheyanne, Trenton, and Wyatt Young; his sister, Joanna Gagne; and his two brothers, Jack Young III and Sophia Wilson and Shane and Delancy Zeller. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Zack’s life will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York. Interment will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. In Zack’s honor, please dress casually, this is no black-tie affair.
