Travis Adam Karlie, 52, of Glen Rock, PA died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at his residence. Born July 22, 1969 in Altoona, PA Travis grew up on Riggles Gap Road, the youngest son of JaNean (McCartney) Karlie and the late Roby Karlie. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Amanda (Arista) Karlie, daughters Marin, Mia and Marisol, and sons Adam and Aiden. His brother Tracey A. Karlie, wife Terri and nieces Emily and Kaylee of Meyersdale. His grandmother Mary (Sager) McCartney of Altoona, father and mother-in-law Patrick and Shirley Arista of Tyrone, brother-in-law Robert Arista, and sister-in-law Karen (Arista) Koegler. Travis is also survived by numerous other family and friends. Travis was a 1987 graduate of Bellwood Antis High School and joined the U.S. Army upon graduation. He served as a Biomedical Technician and continued in this profession after serving his country. His most recent position was in Baltimore, Maryland at Mercy Medical Center as a Senior Imaging Engineer. Travis was an avid wrestling fan and enjoyed listening to live music, and playing his guitar. He was a passionate member of the wrestling community and was involved with countless charitable organizations within it. Along with this, he also enjoyed being a CNC Woodworking Artist, creating plaques and customized art pieces for members of the wrestling community, family and friends. Travis had a passion for researching his family’s ancestry, creating timelines and family trees. He enjoyed outdoor projects such as landscaping and gardening. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Reservoir Park, 812-14 Janesville Pike, Tyrone, PA 16686 with a flag folding presentation.
