Tracy Holderegger

March 17, 2022

The Lord recalled an angel from earth, the morning of 3/17/2022 (Saint Patrick's Day). Tracy Holderegger (Frey) blessed so many with her friendship and kind heart while she lived among us. Tracy passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband Tod, in which they would have celebrated their 29th anniversary in April. Her daughter Teale and her husband Kamar Bennett along with their son Keyan Trace, who will carry his Grandmother's name and love with him always. Her son Trevor will continue his mother's work of helping and healing people he meets throughout his profession. She is also survived by an older brother, Todd Frey and his wife Deb, nephews and niece, various extended family, and friends, along with family accepted sister Kelly and her husband Doug. Tracy was born in York, PA daughter of the late William and Josephine Frey. She attended Suburban High School and earned an associate degree from Yorktowne Business School. She later blessed co-workers at J.E. Baker Company and Dentsply Prosthetics over the years. Tracy’s happiness in life came from her family and she cherished every moment she had with them. A loving and devoted wife, mother, and Grammy; her grandson Keyan filled her life with so much joy. She never missed an event for her children and made sure that every moment they had was the best it could possibly be. She was a wonderful, supportive mother providing unconditional love and acceptance all throughout their lives. The mom that showed up with treats for kids and teachers, a loving and protective mother, she was also fun and loved to laugh. She was a source of comfort and support whenever they needed it. Unwavering in her love, she made sure they always knew how much they mattered. Tracy had a heart of gold and wanted the best for everyone, all of the time. Her happiness and peace truly came from knowing that everyone she loved was okay and everything was right in their world. Tracy also loved animals, rescuing, adopting, and helping many of them over her lifetime. She loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers games with Trevor and spending time with Teale and Keyan. Celebrating holidays and giving gifts. She was a master at gift wrapping and she loved to watch everyone open what she got them, smiling so big and not missing a second of it! We have to mention her awesome desserts, legendary deviled eggs, and her laughter. She had a few different kinds of laughs; the tired never-ending laugh was one of her best. Tracy made friends wherever she went, and she was so easy to love. A devoted and supportive friend, always there to share in the good and the bad. Tracy was that friend you could count on to show up for you, that you could trust with anything and the friend to share your trials and triumphs with. A keeper of your secrets but never your flaws, she was always there to listen, but never to judge. Tracy was never confrontational but would go to bat for YOU in a heartbeat. It was never herself that she cared about, it was the way that she cared for others. She was so happy when her loved ones were happy and when their hearts were broken, her’s would break as well. The way that Tracy was always there for her family and friends to share happiness or keep everything afloat was a rare and beautiful thing. We have no words to describe how much we will miss her. Tracy was a good person and a sweet soul, and her light will always shine brightly. We will keep her with us always and see her in every sunrise and sunset and under the light of every moon. When we see pansies and cardinals and when we laugh. She will be divinely guiding and protecting us, loving, and watching over us until we meet again. Her legacy is love, kindness, strength, and courage. So much strength. So much love. Tracy’s last wishes were that people get screened early and frequently, and not put off medical treatment. We will cherish her spirit that never gave up, unwavering faith and strength no matter what she faced. Love is the answer, spread the word. Services are private and will be announced by invitation in honor of Tracy’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, she would like donations made to Unconditional Love Pet Rescue - York Transport or The American Cancer Society. Condolences to the family may be made online at Etzweiler Funeral Home. Arrangements by the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service. 1111 East Market Street, York, PA 17403.
