Thomas E. Chronister

July 18, 1950 - January 20, 2022

Thomas E. Chronister, 71, of York died peacefully Thursday, January 20, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of Patricia (Adams) Chronister. Born July 18, 1950, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Miller) Chronister. Tom worked for many years at Buchmeyers Pools before retiring. Tom was a graduate of York Suburban High School and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 2 sons, Matthew Chronister and his wife, Michele of York and Joshua Chronister and his wife, Gretchen of Seven Valleys; 7 grandchildren, Madison, Drew, Sarah, Shaley, Andrew, Katie and Braiden; 3 step grandchildren EJ, Kylie and Chloe, brother, Danny Chronister and two step sons Scott and Doug. Tom lost his 5-month battle with cancer and began his next journey into heaven. Tom loved his family and friends. He loved spending time with his Vito’s restaurant gang. He always looked forward to his many annual Jamaica trips where his ashes will be dispersed. Tom loved all of his grandchildren and did his best to be on the sidelines of all their sporting events. He also loved music and singing with the church choir. We will miss his never-ending smile and kind heart. Continue to shower his wife Patricia with love. Following cremation, a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 225 East Market Street, York. Officiating the service will be Rev. C. Kyle Gott. In lieu of flowers, the family would like Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of York, PA.
