Sandra Kaye Sweeney

Sandra Kaye Sweeney, 51, of Goldsboro, died peacefully at home on Monday, January 24, 2022. Born in Galax, VA on December 9, 1970, she was the daughter of Roger A. Lepley of Texas and the late Brenda K. (Russell) Lepley. Sandy was the loving wife of 31 years of Aaron E. Sweeney, Sr. Sandy was a graduate of Donegal High School and a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Mount Joy. She worked as a property manager for several York area rental units and apartment complexes. Sandy enjoyed vegetable gardening and visiting family in Virginia. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren Elliott Alan, Isaac James, Hannah Rae, Dylan Jeremy, Hayden Lynn, Madison Grace, and Garrett Michael, In addition to her father, husband and grandchildren, Sandy is survived by her sons Dennis A. Sweeney, and his wife Jamie of York, and Aaron E. Sweeney, Jr., and his companion Sarah Roberts of York. A memorial service to celebrate Sandy’s life will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 11 North Richland Avenue, York, with Pastor Tanya Brubaker officiating. Private interment in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens will be held later. There will be a visitation at the church on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sandy’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
