Raymond H. "Junie" Wanbaugh

Raymond H. “Junie” Wanbaugh, 86, of Wrightsville, died peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021. Born in Hellam Township on May 8, 1935, he was the son of the late Raymond F. and Merle E. (Hunt) Wanbaugh. He was the loving husband of Janet L. (Bair) Wanbaugh. Raymond was a 1953 graduate of Wrightsville High School. He served his country for four years as a member of the United States Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge in 1962. He was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wrightsville. During his working years, Raymond worked in the printing industry, retiring from U.S. Business Printing in the late 1990’s. During his childhood years, Raymond played ball for the Wrightsville Little League teams and later with the adult team. As an adult, he enjoyed archery hunting during deer season, golfing in the Cool Creek Senior League and just going for walks. In addition to his wife, Raymond is survived by his sister Betty Laird, sister-in-law Kathy Wanbaugh, sister-in-law Jolene Fisher and brother-in-law Larry Fisher, nephews Randy Fisher and Joshua Wanbaugh, and nieces Renee Stewart, Karen Dahowski, Jennifer Montoya, Tracey DuVall, Susan Bustos, and Sarah Conard. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, John and Michael, and his sister Caroline. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 700 Hellam Street, Wrightsville. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Raymond’s memory may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 243 Hellam Street, Wrightsville, PA 17368.
