Norma Jean (Kline) Sandoe

July 10, 1936 - January 7, 2022

Mrs. Sandoe was born in Loganville, York County on July 10, 1936 and passed away peacefully on January 7, 2022. She was the wife of the late Paul L. Sandoe Jr. She is survived by her son, the Rev. Rodney L Mundy Haase, son-in-law, Darryl M. Haase, grandson, Benjamin James Joines Mundy, half sister Betty Ziegler Eaton, and her 2 step brothers Nelson and Reggie Ilgenfritz. She was predeceased by her father and step mother, Frederick Ludwig Ziegler and Myrtle Ziegler, her mother, Pauline Kline, step daughter Judy E. (Coverstone) Kemmick, step brother Gary Ilgenfritz, and step sister Nancy Hall and is survived by step grandchildren, Joseph Moody, Ashley Cotter and Ryan Moody. A graduate of York High School in 1954; Mrs. Sandoe became one of the first police women for the City of York. After service in York, she was a school crossing guard in the square of Manchester and on Mount Rose and Ogontz Streets in the 1970's. Mr. and Mrs. Sandoe re-established the Mountain Springs Hotel in Liverpool, PA, before returning to York to be closer to their grandchildren. A private family viewing will be Wednesday evening, January 12, 2022 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market St. York, PA and private interment will be at Kreutz Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org). Arrangements by the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, PA 17403.
