Linda K. Stillinger, 73, of Hellam died June 1, 2021 at her residence. She was the wife of Charles E. Stillinger. They celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on April 20, 2021. Born August 16, 1947 in York, she was the daughter of the late Guyon and Lillian Mae (Miller) Fogle. Linda was a Crossing Guard for Kreutz Creek Elementary School for 27 years. She was lovingly known by her school family as Miss Linda and was always recognized by strangers as the Crossing Guard of Hallam. Prior to being a Crossing Guard, she was a longtime employee of Hallam Hosiery. Linda was a 1966 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles. Family was extremely important to Linda, especially attending family gatherings and reunions. Linda and Charles enjoyed going to the food court at the Galleria Mall on Sundays and weekly Saturday dinners at church picnics and different restaurants with their best friends, Jim and Mary. In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her daughter, Tina Sminkey and her husband, Christopher of Brogue; step son, William “Lee” Stillinger of Lewisberry; sister, Sylvia L. Einsig of York; and Marty L. Fogle and his wife, Pam of York. She is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Guyon Fogle, Jr., Ralph Fogle, and Emmett “Sam” Fogle. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 700 Hellam Street, Wrightsville with the Rev. Kelly Shiflett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. A viewing will be held Saturday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A time of fellowship will be held following the burial at the Hallam Fire Hall. The family requests everyone to dress casually and wear red in honor of Linda. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of York, 50 E. King Street, York, PA 17401 or to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
