Jonathan J. Maiellano, 44 of Mount Wolf, PA, died at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA on September 14, 2021. He was the husband of Rebecca F. (Biebl) Maiellano with whom he observed their 22nd wedding anniversary on May 22, 2021. Born July 13, 1977 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marlene (Magill) Maiellano. Jon was employed as a product manager for J. J. Haines in Baltimore. He was a 1999 graduate of Carin University in Langhorne, PA. He was a member of Church of the Open Door, American Battlefield Trust, and Gettysburg National Park. Jon was passionate about the history of the Civil War. In addition to his wife, Jon is survived by a son, Nathaniel J. Maiellano and two daughters, Abigail L. Maiellano and Madelyn G. Maiellano, all of Mount Wolf, PA; two brothers, Louis and his wife Gail Maiellano of Seiverville, TN and Walter and his wife Claire Maiellano of Chambersburg, PA, a sister, Dawn Crocco of West Chester, PA; fourteen nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Church of the Open Door, 8 Carlisle Court, York, PA with Pastor Robert Riedy, officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. A private burial will be held in Evergreen Cemetery in Gettysburg, PA, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Battlefield Trust, 1156 15th Street NW, Suite 900, Washington, D.C. 20005.
