Giana Vicosa

January 24, 2014 - November 18, 2021

On November 18, 2021, Heaven gained two beautiful angels, Giana and Aaminah Vicosa of York. They were the loving daughters of Marisa (Ayala) Vicosa of York. Giana, 7, was born January 24, 2014 in York and Aaminah, 6, was born June 8, 2015 in Baltimore, MD. Both girls were students at PA Cyber Academy Reach; Giana in 3rd grade and Aaminah in 1st grade. Giana loved math. She was always asking to do more math problems and enjoyed doing order of operations for fun. She wanted to be a scientist. Her dream was to invent a robot that did all the chores for her mom. Her favorite colors were red and blue. Aaminah had a passion for animals and her dream was to be a veterinarian. Pink and purple were her favorite colors. Both girls loved flowers and to draw and color pictures. Giana and Aaminah were both silly and loved telling funny jokes. They were very affectionate and would give hugs and kisses all the time. In addition to their mom, they are survived by their grandmothers, Diane Calhoun of York, Beverly Brown of Maryland, Beverly Vaughn of Maryland, and Vera Clark of Maryland; 3 uncles, Agustin Ayala, Dustin Ayala, and Frank Dortch; 2 aunts, Keemijha Wray and Jessica Ayala; 10 first cousins, and numerous other family members and friends. Funeral services for Giana and Aaminah will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Living Word Community Church, 2530 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, PA. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 4th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all the prayers, support and generosity of the York community and beyond during this difficult time. Arrangements by the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St. York, PA 17403.
