Charlotte E. Reinert Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Charlotte E. Reinert, 76, died December 22, 2021 surrounded by her family after an 4 plus year battle with cancer. She was survived by her husband of 28 years, Norman C. Reinert. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 2 daughters, Pamela and John Trapanotto and Kristine and Dan Criswell; 4 grandchildren, Lauren and Ari, Jessica and Alek, Ronald and Madeline, and Annabell; 7 great grandchildren, Zinnia, Wren, Fable, Violet, Russell, Theodore, and Magnolia; a brother, Clarence Miller, Jr; 3 sisters, Bonita Heddings, Caroleen Helt, and Debbie Greider and many nieces and nephews; and 3 step children, Cathy, Lisa, and Rick. She was preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Ronnie Miller and Larry Miller and a sister, Patricia Snyder. Charlotte also leaves her cherished dog that loved her, Max. Born May 19, 1945 in Halifax, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence R. Miller Sr. and Hannah S. (Buffington) Miller. Charlotte was a warrior.. she loved living life and was always open to new experiences.. she fought her illness everyday with grace and strength and no complaint. During her cancer treatments she continued to go to work and spread her joy as often as she could. She was a true light to everyone she met. Charlotte was a former owner of Rumors Salon in York and has been a hair stylist for 58 years. Charlotte was a graduate of Halifax High School, Central Penn Beauty School, and the International School in Boston. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. In Charlotte’s early years she was an avid tennis player and then later in life she found her love of golf. She was an active member of leagues at Cool Creek Golf Club and a member of York County Women’s Amateur Golf Association. She enjoyed every second in the golf course with Norman and her golf family. She also bowled in several bowling leagues in the York area. Charlotte loved to entertain, cook and bake, especially her sweets. A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market Street, York. A private burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Halifax. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LifePath Christian Ministries, P.O. Box 1968, York, PA 17405.
