Charles "Bob" Robert Rutter III

Charles "Bob" Robert Rutter, III, 72, of Hanover, PA, passed away on October 31, 2021, at UPMC Hanover Hospital. He was the caring husband of Andrea W. Rutter, with whom they shared 47 years of marriage. Born in York, PA, he was the son of the late Charlie and Myrnie Cox Rutter. Bob entered the Navy in 1967, industriously served in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged after four years of service. He then studied at Penn State University. After graduating from PSU, Bob worked in food service sales until his retirement in 2011. Bob's hobbies included watching football, cooking, listening to music, going to the gym, and spending time with family and friends. Bob is survived by his wife Andrea Weigle Rutter, daughter Rachel Rutter, brother Mike Rutter, sister-in-law Karen Hartman Rutter, and nieces Licia Rutter Landstrom and Kristin Rutter Daddario. On Saturday, December 4, 2021, a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street York. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 10:30 am at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted by the York County Veterans Honor Guard following the service.
