April Rose Van Why Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

April Rose Van Why, age 37, of Erie, formerly of York, died peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2022. Born in Tobyhanna on March 1, 1985, she was the daughter of William Van Why and Mary J. (Wilshere) Van Why. April was a graduate of Dallastown High School and the Hiram G. Andrews Center. She loved to listen to music and sing, enjoyed watching professional wrestling, and was an avid NASCAR fan with #3 the late Dale Earnhardt and Kyle Bush among her favorites. In addition to her parents, April is survived by her aunts and uncles Larry and Jan Wilshere, Linda and John Moffitt, Jr., Sue and Keith Miller, Pam and Louis Robertson, Steve Van Why, and Kathy Jenson. She is also survived by many cousins and her Erie family Glenn Dine and Mary Dine. She was preceded in death by her uncle Russell Van Why. A memorial service to celebrate April’s life will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York, with Pastor Jim Smith officiating. Private interment will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday the 23rd at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
